Bruins for Business Health (BBH) was founded in 2019 when a group of UCLA undergraduate students realized the absence of business healthcare-oriented clubs on campus. With a mission to introduce free resources to fellow Bruins, BBH has since prepared several cohorts for a successful career in this emerging industry. Members have access to exclusive networking opportunities, tailored professional resources, and a business healthcare community!

Sanjana is a fourth-year Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major. Her current goals include healthcare administration, life science consulting, and entrepreneurship. Within business healthcare, Sanjana is passionate about topics like stem cell and gene therapy, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical operations. As President of BBH, she is responsible for overseeing our various departments and programs that further our mission of professional development and implementing new systems to run BBH more efficiently. She hopes that, with her time at BBH, she can foster an understanding and growth-inducing environment for members to indulge further in their passions within business healthcare amongst one another through various networking and social events!

ISABELLA TAYLOR
Bella is a third-year majoring in both Human Biology and Society and Economics. She's interested in working in hospital administration, helping others through changes in our healthcare supply chain system, and/or becoming a hospital executive! Bella is passionate about the global health supply chain and healthcare administration, consulting, and management. As Vice President of BBH, she runs our executive board meetings, oversees BBH's financial structure, approves event & research committee decisions, and counsels any members or board members on their pathway in BBH. With her time at BBH, Bella wants to allow as many members to decide on their career pathway through increased engagement methods and finding creative and helpful professionals along the way. She's always super excited to see new members in our club, as well as aspiring leaders that can be the future of BBH!

Julianne morris
Julianne is a third-year majoring in Human Biology and Society. She is passionate about healthcare advocacy and policy, philanthropy and foundation, healthcare quality and patient safety, and much more, and she hopes to explore different healthcare environments through gained experience, obtain a healthcare administration position in a reputable healthcare organization, and eventually acquire a Master's in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration. As BBH's Social Events Intern, Julianne assists our Social Events Director with organizing and executing dynamic social events to cultivate an inviting and inclusive environment for our club members. She can't wait to see BBH continue to build in terms of pre-professional events, member engagement, networking, and community and see BBH grow even more!

MARCO CHAMORRO
Marco is a fourth-year majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics and minoring in Entrepreneurship. His current career goals and interests include healthcare/life science consulting and management, medical entrepreneurship, and any other way business intersects with healthcare. Macro's passions within business healthcare include gene therapy/CRISPR,
bioinformatics, investing/venture capital/private equity, medical startups, and clinical trials. As BBH's Professional Events Director, he plans and executes our professional events and maintains/creates partnerships with professional contacts. With his time at BBH, Marco hopes to equip our members with the essential skills and insights for their professional development, create an environment of professionalism and healthy competitiveness through skill-building events, and hopefully create ways to keep BBH relevant and ensure the longevity of our club!

KYLE LEE
Kyle is a third-year majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics (MIMG). He hopes to become a physician while also being involved in aspects of business like consulting, advising or having his own medical business. He's passionate about the intersection between all things involving clinical medicine and business. As BBH's Research Director, Kyle run BBH"s research-journalism program aka BBH Review, where he advise members on how to research specific topics, convey their findings, ask specific questions, etc. He also writes the Business Healthcare updates for our weekly newsletters and hosts our BBH Review project demonstration day where members present their research topics and findings. With his time at BBH, Kyle wants to help members discover and dive into their niches and interests within business healthcare!

Janet is a second-year majoring in Data Theory and minoring in Global Health. She hopes to become a data scientist within the healthcare field, focusing on aiding under-resourced communities. She is most passionate about public health, data science and data engineering, and social work initiatives and wants to learn more about biotechnology and biostatistics. As BBH's Marketing Director, she oversees BBH's professional brand across our social channels and manages our website, LinkTree, Instagram, and LinkedIn while working closely with our Digital Marketing and Community Engagement Interns. She can't wait to continue building BBH's presence online all whilst learning more about business-health herself, and is excited to meet all of BBH's members this year!

Sophia is a second-year majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Statistics and Data Science. She wants to pursue an MBA after undergrad and to start out working either in investment banking or consulting for biotech and/or life science companies to get industry specific knowledge, ultimately working in venture capital funding to grow biotech and life science startups. She's interested in preventative medicine and thinks that by focusing on preventive measures, like health screenings, vaccines, and lifestyle interventions, we can reduce the overall burden on the healthcare system, improve population health, and save costs in the long run. At BBH, Sophia leads our mentorship program and family program that pairs a BBH member with a graduate student mentor and sorts members into families within BBH. She hopes BBH can be a unifying space for everyone interested in the intersection of business and healthcare where members can expand their understanding of the industry and create valuable connections with students and professionals!

Franco Fratovich
Franco is a second-year Biology major interested in health policy or hospital management and hopes to enter medical school for an MBA in the future to be able to work as a physician with administrative capabilities within his own hospital or office. He believes that anyone who wants to be a doctor in the future, including himself, should never limit themselves to only understanding the medicinal side of healthcare. Understanding how the business side of healthcare works, i.e. certain policies hospitals must follow or how they are run, really benefits
doctors as well. Franco works alongside Nikhil to help our Social Events Director plan social events for BBH which involves brainstorming event ideas with the director, finding locations and figuring out logistical details to event planning. His goal for BBH is to create a social environment where people can gain not only future connections, but also long-lasting friendships as having friends who have the same goals as you especially in a big school like UCLA can be very beneficial and stress-reducing.

Nikhil is a second-year Integrative Biology and Physiology major. Nikhil's interests include possibly pursuing a Pre-Healthcare track, orthopedics/sports medicine and oncology, and/or creating an affordable private practice for increased access to cancer treatments. He hopes to bring together business and science/healthcare into one sector and exposing this field to the student body here at UCLA. At BBH, Nikhil works alongside Franco to help our Social Events Director plan out social event and helps strengthen relationships between members to create lifelong friends of people with similar passions. He hopes to ensure everyone has a great time in BBH and has formed a community of people members can lean on in times of need!

Kate is a second-year majoring in Computational and Systems Biology. She is passionate about healthcare consulting, biotechnology management and consulting, and healthcare administration, and she hopes to explore consulting and sustainability in the healthcare space! As BBH's Professional Events Intern, Kate assists our Professional Events Director in planning and executing professional events, helps brainstorm and generate professional events ideas, and networks with industry professionals to secure event collaborations. She's extremely excited to see BBH expand by diversifying our resources to our members, and hopes to help BBH accumulate more member engagement by helping organize more events!

Avantika is a second-year majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Global Studies. She is currently on a pre-healthcare track but is also interested in exploring beyond the healthcare sector in medicine and biotechnology. Her specific interests include biotechnology, specifically neurotechnology, and healthcare consulting. As BBH's Research Intern, Avantika helps our Research Director expand BBH's research-journalism program, aka BBH Review. She hopes that, with her time at BBH, she's able to foster a collaborative and supportive environment to gain and provide guidance in the healthcare sphere!

Amber is a second-year majoring in Cognitive Science and is passionate about health equity, healthcare management and consulting, and biotechnology startups. She's interested in entering healthcare consulting and/or administration and project management. As BBH's Digital Marketing Intern, Amber collaborates with other BBH teams on marketing campaigns and creates our visual and graphic elements for social media posts. With her time at BBH, she hopes to boost our social media outreach, increase membership growth, and ultimately provide resources for members to delve further into the business-healthcare sector!

Corona is a fourth-year Anthropology and Communications major interested in healthcare consulting/administration, UX and market research, and product development! She's passionate about creating more equitable access to healthcare for mental health and therapy, making sure patients and hospital workers feel supported and have positive experiences, and making sure all women have access women’s health treatment. As our Marketing Intern, Corona manages our newsletter and blog content, dives deep into our socials analytics, and much more! She hopes to meet you all who share similar passions and to learn more about the business health field!
