Bruins for Business Health (BBH) was founded in 2019 when a group of UCLA undergraduate students realized the absence of business healthcare-oriented clubs on campus. With a mission to introduce free resources to fellow Bruins, BBH has since prepared several cohorts for a successful career in this emerging industry. Bella is a fourth year Economics & Human Biology and Society major. She's interested in working in hospital administration, helping others through changes in our healthcare supply chain system, and/or becoming a hospital executive! Bella is passionate about the global health supply chain and healthcare administration, consulting, and management. tasks and role like on the website: As President of BBH, she spearheads the oversight of our diverse departments and initiatives dedicated to advancing professional development. Additionally, she drives the implementation of innovative systems to enhance BBH's operational efficiency. Avantika is a junior from Scottsdale, Arizona majoring in Human, Biology, and Society (HBS) and minoring in Global Studies. She is on a pre-med track but also interested in exploring business health and biotechnology. She will be serving as Vice President for the 2024-2025 academic year. Kyle is a fourth-year majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics (MIMG). He hopes to become a physician and is passionate about the intersection between clinical medicine and business to help develop more accessible medical therapies. As BBH's Research Director, Kyle runs BBH's research-journalism program aka BBH Review, where he advises members on how to research specific topics, convey their findings, ask specific questions, etc. He also mentors members to research and share Business Healthcare updates for our weekly newsletters and hosts our BBH Review project day where members present their research topics and findings. With his time at BBH, Kyle wants to help members discover and dive into their niche interests within business healthcare!

Kate is a third yea majoring in Cognitive Science with a minor in Data Science Engineering. She is passionate about project management for biotech and health & wellness companies. Janet is a third year majoring in Data Theory and minoring in Global Health. She hopes to become a data scientist within the healthcare field, focusing on aiding under-resourced communities. She is most passionate about public health, data science and data engineering, and social work initiatives and wants to learn more about biotechnology and biostatistics. As BBH's Marketing Director, she oversees BBH's professional brand across our social channels and manages our website, LinkTree, Instagram, and LinkedIn while working closely with our Digital Marketing and Community Engagement Interns. As Director of Mentorship, her goal is to provide networking opportunities and foster meaningful connections between club members and professionals in the field. Julianne is passionate about healthcare administration, hospital operations, and medical fundraising, while also exploring opportunities in life sciences consulting and biotechnology. She aims to obtain a healthcare administration position in a reputable healthcare organization, eventually acquire a Master's in Business Administration (MBA), and become a hospital executive. As Finance Director for Bruins for Business Health, Julianne is dedicated to overseeing the club's finances by implementing strategies to optimize funds and ensure efficient allocation. She loves seeing the club grow and meeting fellow members who are passionate about exploring the field of business in healthcare! This year, she is excited to help BBH cultivate new relationships with the professional community, and secure the necessary funding to support the club's growth!

Sophia is a third-year student majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Biology after completing her undergraduate studies, aiming to gain industry-specific knowledge by starting her career in biotech or life science companies. Her ultimate goal is to work in venture capital, where she hopes to fund and support the growth of biotech and life science startups. Sophia has a strong interest in preventive medicine, believing that a focus on health screenings, vaccines, and lifestyle interventions can reduce the overall burden on the healthcare system, improve population health, and lower costs in the long term. At BBH, she co-leads social and internal events, brainstorming engaging activities for members and managing their logistics. As a Social Events Co-Director, Sophia is passionate about creating an inclusive and dynamic environment for everyone interested in the intersection of business and healthcare.

Huixi is a second-year Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics major. She's interested in biotechnology, healthcare technology, neurotechnology, biomimetic design, and entrepreneurship. Huixi would like to be a healthcare consultant, and in the long run, establish a biotechnology startup. As BBH's Graphic Design Intern, she create graphics for BBH’s social media posts and facilitates outreach and collaboration with other clubs and outside organizations. Cynthia is a Human, Biology and Society major and Digital Humanity minor. She's interested in healthcare/life science consulting, healthcare/ medicine/cosmetic product management, and marketing. She wishes to allow a good product, after being developed by a high-end R&D team, can have better sales development and allow more audiences to contact the product. As a Community Engagement Intern, Cynthia creates weekly newsletters and marketing efforts with the other Co-Community Engagement Intern. She intends to enhance the club website's Search engine optimization (SEO) in the upcoming year from several perspectives, making it easier for individuals with an interest in business health to locate our information. and improve our status in the online community. This coming year, she hopes to gain more knowledge and skills in the marketing domain while also learning more about the intersection of business and health and which one is best for me. Additionally, Cynthia hopes that more individuals will see the value of business health. Cherry is interested in topics such as pharmaceutical operations, biotech valuation, or working in the lab to develop new drugs to improve health wellbeing of patients! Mahek is a second year majoring in Computational and Systems Biology. She is interested in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical field especially the development of stem cell therapies and also interested in the business aspect of pharmaceutical industry including marketing, profitability, and accessibility She aspires to work in a biotechnology-pharmaceutical company that cost effectively develops vaccines and medications and provides them at an affordable price. As the Research Intern for BBH, she helps with BBH Review, a research journalism project that allows members to delve into the research world and publish their work in our very own journal.
